Congratulations to Evelyn Webster, winner of the Commercial, Legal and Scientific Information Group (CLSIG) bursary place for the CILIP Conference 2017. Evelyn is currently working for the law firm Pinsent Masons, and is looking forward to exploring ideas from other sectors at the conference.

For everyone else, there is still time to take advantage of the Early Bird discount until Friday 28 April, and group rates are available to delegates of four or more from the same organisation. Visit http://bit.ly/conf17sig.

This year's programme includes speakers from Wikimedia, The Kings Fund, Network Rail, KPMG, IFLA, BookTrust, National Literacy Trust Reading Agency, NHS and Arup to name a few. Sessions range from how LIS professionals have much to offer when it comes to data and information in business; to how future library design will be influenced by the way in which people interact with them; to how we can reflect diversity and equality in our work. Expert-led interactive workshops include copyright, marketing, equalities and increasingly important impact and evaluation. ‘Your Career’ strand brings focused sessions for those starting out, as well as tailored career advice sessions and practical guidance around dealing with change and being a good communicator.
