LHSG was formed in October 1979 at a meeting of people working in and responsible for home library services in London.
It currently meets 3-4 times a year and enables staff involved in home library services to meet with colleagues from other London boroughs and from authorities around London. Meetings usually take place at a home library service point with a different library authority hosting each time. Meetings in 2015 have been held in Hackney and Southwark – both excellent services delivering a necessary library service to their housebound residents.
LHSG is currently looking at raising awareness of both home library services and its own place in enabling people to meet and exchange information.
If you are interested in attending please contact Tom Berry, LHSG Secretary. The next meeting will take place on 7 June.
